In its 6th year, PFR’s annual Pride Run & Walk 2024 is going to be bigger and better than ever!

Calling all of Perth’s strollers, rollers, runners, crap joggers, fur babies: you’ve got this! An easy 5km run or 3km walk route followed by a very campy Festival Zone in Barrack Square. Think entertainment, food & coffee, new friends and you!

Kaya! Hello! We can't wait to welcome you and 500 others to this Pride Run & Walk 2024! The event is brought to you by us here at Perth Frontrunners.

Where and When and How Long?

Saturday 16 November 2024 @ Barrack Square (ie Perth Bell Tower). For public transport options, check out Transperth Journey Planner and for carparks, check out City of Perth Parking

The event kicks-off at 8AM. We anticipate most people will be finished their stroll/roll/crap-jog/run by 10am, and then the party really starts!

Event finishes at 12PM.

Dress Code

Get a Wristie on Arrival!

When you arrive, look out for people in Perth Frontrunners t-shirts handing out wristbands. They will ask if you're registered (and if not, they willl direct you to a QR Code to register). Those that are registered will get a wristband that will get you onto the course, make you eligible for prizes and very special food and drink specials for that morning (see below).

If you are coming with someone that's not registered yet, just get them to REGISTER HERE, ta!

Routes

This event is an UNTIMED event. If you want to track your time, just join our Strava Club and log your own race, we'd love to see it.

We have a 5km running/crap-jog route and a 3km crap-jog/strolling/rolling route. Both start from Barrack Square (Bell Tower) and return to Barrack Square:-

  • 5km running/crap-jog: Barrack Square, across Elizabeth Quay Bridge, along the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River), turn around at the 2nd car park after old Swan Brewery (Mounts Bay Road Parking 2), head back the same way to Barrack Square.
  • 3km crap-jog/strolling/rolling: Barrack Square, across Elizabeth Quay Bridge, along the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River), turn around at the Narrow Necks Bridge (lookout for the AMAZING Lululemon Cheer Squad), head back the same way but turn left before Elizabeth Quay Bridge to do a lap of Elizabeth Quay and finish at Barrack Square.

Festival Zone Entertainment, Food and Drink

We're transforming Barrack Square (Bell Tower) into a Festival Zone before and after your stroll/roll/run/crap-jog! Stay tuned for deets of entertainment and food/drink  options!

In addition, your wristband will give you the discounts at select Barrack Square / Elizabeth Quay businesses. Let's spread the love on the day!

Accessibility Notes

We believe sports should be accessible to everyone, especially those with disabilities. Barrack Square has:-

  • 1 x Acrod Parking Bay adjacent Barrack Square, other Acrod bays are available around Elizabeth Quay.
  • There is a loading zone in front of The Lucky Shag for Taxi/Uber drop offs. Additionally there are bus stops located in Barrack Square.
  • There are 5 x Wheelchair Accessible bathrooms located in various spots around Barrack Square and Elizabeth Quay with handrails, electric doors, etc. There is also an accessible bathroom with handrails, etc at The Lucky Shag.
  • There is a Changing Place with ceiling hoist, adult height adjustable change table, shower, etc located approx 250m from Barrack Square in Elizabeth Quay near the Oyster Bar.
  • Both the 3km and 5km routes are wheelchair accessible. Or travel a comfortable distance on those routes and turn around.
  • There is some cobblestone paving around Barrack Square itself which can be bumpy, however a wheelchair can still use these pathways.

Who We Are

We're Boorloo (Perth, Western Australia)'s community of LGBTIQA+allies Strollers, Rollers, Runners & Proudly Crap Joggers. Come stroll or roll or run or crap jog with your Pride 🦁 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 🤗 

We welcome people of all sexualities, gender identities, ages, backgrounds, abilities and fitness levels. No previous running experience is required.

Come and meet us at one of our weekly Saturday morning stroll / roll / run / crap jogs, which are open to everyone including non-members. We'll explain the routes before the stroll / roll / run / crap jog, make sure you're looked after, and the coffee afterwards is a great opportunity to meet and greet. No pre-registration is required; just come and say hi!

We also hold regular events for members including "Run (or stroll / roll / crap jog) to the Pub", regional group trips, social events, and arranging teams for City to Surf, Run for a Reason, and The Bridges fun runs.
